Wolves may been in for a hectic transfer deadline day, after being offered the chance to sign Aaron Ramsey on loan from Juventus.
The Wales international has started one league game for Max Allegri’s side this season and has been looking for a Premier League return amid interest from Burnley, Newcastle, Everton and Crystal Palace.
Ramsey joined the Old Lady on a free transfer in July 2019 after spending 11 years at Arsenal.
He has scored six goals in 69 games at the club, but has played less than 100 minutes for Juventus this season.
Injuries have hampered him during his spell at Juve, where he has not started a game since the season’s opening fixture with manager Allegri having described him as ‘an outgoing player’.
His case has not been strengthened by the fact he contracted Covid at the start of the month, which made any move away potentially difficult.
Wolves are also preparing themselves for multiple departures from the Molineux on transfer deadline day.
Wing-back Ryan Giles is discussing a move to Blackburn Rovers after a move back to Cardiff fell through.
Wolves midfielder Bruno Jordao is set to join Grasshoppers on loan. The 23-year-old moved to Molineux from Lazio in 2019 for £6 million.
Things haven’t gone to plan for Jordao since moving to the Premier League, with the Portuguese player completing his first 90 minutes in more than a year during an Under-23 game this month.
