Two helicopters collided in mid-air close to a famous traveller attraction in Australia’s Gold Coast place on Monday, killing four humans and critically injuring three more, authorities said.
Emergency choices were referred to as to the scene near the Sea World theme park at about two p.m. neighborhood time, Gary Worrell, performing inspector at the Queensland police, told a records briefing.

Worrell stated the two aircraft crash-landed after the collision.

“As a end result of that, 4 humans have misplaced their lives today.”
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau stated it had launched an investigation into the accident.
A British couple had been among 4 killed in a mid-air collision that left two mangled helicopters on a sandbank close to an Australian traveler hotspot, investigators said on Tuesday. One helicopter was taking off for a “tourist pleasure flight” alongside Queensland’s scenic Gold Coast when its rotor blades smashed into the cockpit of another helicopter coming in to land, air security commissioner Angus Mitchell said. “In the manner of that collision the major rotor blades and gearbox of the helicopter taking off have separated from the aircraft, inflicting it to tragically crash down on to a sandbar,” he instructed reporters.
